James M. Cooper is Assistant Dean, Mission Development at California Western School of Law in San Diego where he has taught International Trade Law, the Law of Armed Conflict and Peacekeeping, Globalization Law and Cross-Cultural Negotiation. He has his Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Laws degree from Cambridge University (U.K.). He is a Barrister and Solicitor, a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. He has won grants and contracts to develop legal technologies from the U.S. State Department, GTZ (the German government technical cooperation agency), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Weingart Foundation, the Organization of American States and the United Nations Development Program. He is co-founder and director of Proyecto ACCESO, a judicial reform and legal skills training project throughout Latin America. He has appeared on ABC News, Fox News, Warner Brothers News, CBC Newsworld, CityTV, Telemundo and Univision and his work has been published in Marie Claire, O Globo, American University International Law Review, the Globe and Mail, Corriere della Sera, National Law Journal, the San Diego Union Tribune, the American Bar Association Journal, and Behavioral Sciences and the Law.

James Cooper es un abogado canadiense con dos grados de la University of Toronto y un Master of Law degree de Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge University en United Kingdom.
